250 years ago, James Cook sailed with his "Resolution" into Possession Bay, South Georgia.

BAT, a sheet and two stamps from the wreck of the "Endurance".
The expedition ship of the explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton,
was crushed by ice floes off the coast of Antarctica in the autumn of 1915 and sank.
In 2022, the wreck was discovered in relatively good condition at a depth of over 3000m.

the SS "Fitzroy".
Operation Tabarin was a small British expedition in the Second World War,
which began in 1943 to establish permanently manned British stations in the
Antarctic.

The "Bee-Post" comes from Finland, Estonia and Lithuania.
It commemorates the 30th anniversary of the sinking of the ferry "Estonia".

|
The "Estonia" was a RoPax Baltic Sea ferry that sank on September 28, 1994 on its way from
Tallinn to Stockholm in a heavy storm off the Finnish island of Utö.
852 people died in the sinking.
According to the official investigation report, the cause of the accident is
suspected to be the bow hatch that was torn off in the storm.
