January Stamps 2017

Greenland, the Post will issue a series with a total of 10 stamps, Greenland during World War II.
The series is to be completed in 2020.
The first three stamps have already been published on 17th October 2016.
Among them this maritime stamp "new goods", in the background the "Gertrud Rask" (Auke Palmhof).

On the 23rd January 2017 the adjacent stamp will appear under the title "Kryolith".
The ship "Hans Egede" is depicted in the background. She brought goods from the USA to Greenland.
These goods were "paid" by the Greenlanders with cryolite from their mine.

Among them two stamps with ships. On the other two stamps Mr. Green and his house are
depicted. Peter Green stranded with the "Emily" in 1836 on the south coast of Tristan da Cunha.
