USA, another serie (III) with stamps of US states. Here the stamps of Massachusetts, Michigan and Missouri with maritime motives.

Peru, a se-tenant of two stamps "submarines of Peru". The boats "Pisagua" and "Arica" are depicted. BAP means Buque Armada Peruana, the Peruvian Navy.

Nevis, a souvenir sheet with one stamp "Charles Darwin 200th Birth Anniversary 1809 - 2009". We see the explorer with the "Beagle" and one of his famous finches. Have a look to our Darwin page, click on this line.

	St. Kitts, two souvenir sheets with four stamps "Freewinds, Celebrating 20 years calling at St. Kitts, 1989 - 2009". In 1968 the vessel was built under the name "Bohème". Today she belongs to a company of the Scientology sect.

	Japan, three souvenir sheets with each ten stamps "150th anniversary of the port opening for foreign states".

Japan, here another stamps belonging to "150th anniversary of the port opening for foreign states". As the Japanese post authority publishes the stamp internet page only in Japanese language it is impossible to write a detailed text. To the right it could be the port of Yokohama.

New Zealand, a huge souvenir sheet with 25 stamps "A Tiki Tour of New Zealand". Here some maritime motives of the 25 stamps.

Lithuania, a single stamp "Tall Ship Race 2009".

Norway, a single stamp "100th anniversary association of Norwegian shipping companies".

Russia, a single stamp with a sailing ship as symbol for St. Petersburg.

San Marino, a single stamp "30th anniversary Rimini meeting". On the right side we see a lighthouse.

Estonia, a new stamp in the lighthouse series. THe tower of Hara Tuletorn is depicted. But since 1980 it is no lighthouse; today it is a daylightmark.

	Guinea Bissau, two souvenir sheets with together six stamps "sailig boats and lighthouses". From top left are depicted: Fastnet / Irland, Brandaris / Holland (?), Reykjavik / Island, Ouessant / Frankreich, Manora / Paquistao (?), St. Anthonys / Reino Unido(?), La Serena / Chile. These Guinea stamps are Cinderellas.

Aruba, a souvenir sheet with four stamps "Aruban Architecture 2009". Among them this lighthouse California. The California Lighthouse is on the Northwest point on Arashi Beach. It was built in 1914-1916 after a ship named California wreck at this point.

South Georgia & the Sandwich Islands, a set with four stamps. Post Office Centenary which will be issued on 23rd December 2009, the actual day that the first post left South Georgia. From left top the first mail steamer SS "Cachalote", eine post hut, a post station in 2009 and the today mail vessel FPV "Pharos SG". FPV means Fishery Protection Vessel, SG for South Georgia.

Austria, some personalized stamps. The DDSG stamps was placed by captain Alfred Karrer at our disposal.

Germany, a personalized stamp shows the rebuild of the famous fullrigger "Preussen", the "Royal Clipper".

To show some more stamps and/or whole souvenir-sheets the pictures are high compressed, so accuracy goes down.
